    Key Job Accountabilities

    • Each inspector assists the Company quality lead during day to day activities, inspections, technical audits and qualification processes of Contractors and subcontractors for his assigned scope of work or area. In addition, he implements and communicate the Quality lead instructions.
    • He coordinates his activity with the quality team and SHE team of Company and Contractor.
    • He is able to forecast the upcoming activities for the week and prepare his monitoring activities. He crosschecks by NDE randomly some welds .
    • The inspector shall review and approve the NDE procedures as per the Company applicable specifications.
    • The inspector qualify the Contractor NDE operators, techniques and equipment for their intended scope. He tests and qualifies the Company inspectors as acceptable by the codes and as requested by the quality lead .He provides assistance to other inspectors or to the welding engineer as required.
    • The inspector permanently visits the worksite and liaises with Contractor or subcontractors personnel .He monitors and report the NDE backlog, the NDE re-works, the trend of repair rates, the defect rate for each welders.
    • The NDE inspector reviews and signs NDE reports from Contractor on behalf of COMPANY and verifies that the QC welding database is maintained accurately and timely.
    • The NDE inspector reviews the NDE summary and clears each sub-assembly as per the inspection release procedure.
    • For any quality issues that he notices, the inspector shall immediately inform the quality lead or the quality lead and will issue a related NCR upon request. Each inspector follows up in the resolution of NCR relevant to his discipline and area, expedite for implementation of corrective and preventive actions.He reports lessons learned when applicable.
    • The inspector respectively reviews welding maps, welding sequence and NDT plan for acceptance related to Welding or NDT ( depending on his NDE certification). Each inspector respectively checks that only agreed consumables, tools and test equipment are properly used preserved, maintained and provided with valid certificates.
    • Each inspector keeps an updated list of approved welders and WPS. He verifies that only approved welders are welding on the project as per their qualified processes and positions.
    • Each inspector respectively witnesses the visual inspections prior to and after welding as well as the dimensional control of the welded assembly.
    • Each inspector assist the trainees to develop their project skills and experience while being on site.
    • The inspector adheres to, promotes and follows the HSE company policy. The inspector shall issue at least one observation card every day and inform the HSE manager with any relevant HSE issues he notices. He stops work when he witness unsafe activities.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or equivalent.
    • Valid NDT qualification ASNT level 3 (RT, UT, PAUT, MPI, PT) or equivalent
    • Qualified CSWIP (or equivalent) welding inspector or higher.

    Knowledge and/or Experience

    • 15+ years of experience in structure NDE inspection (tubulars, TKY joints, 75mm thick carbon steel, piping DNV 101 ) with experience in major offshore projects
    • Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry in the country of fabrication.
    • Ability to read/understand design/ shop drawings.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact in a multicultural environment. Ability to prepare a daily report.
    • High pressure piping NDE for riser, installation ,testing and preservation is a plus.
    • Valid Bosiet is a plus.

    Technical and Business Skills

    • Very good knowledge of structural welding and NDE codes and standards.
    • A good proficiency in written and spoken English.
    • Ability to effectively communicate on a daily basis with the local personnel without translation.
    • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications






  • During the overall phases Phase from end of B3, to the end of the project, when issues/malfunctions occurred (on actuators , sensors, components…) the first attempt to solve the issues for OCE (in coordination with SSV and TOS) is to Contact the Commissioning Investigation Team (available during normal hours or on call during night and weekend.

    During the night or during the week end the SREs are not often on call and available, so the lead of this first investigation is given to this team with a broader knowledge.

    In order to be efficient the first investigation during Overall operation (from the end of phase B3-last line up before FLG to PTO) , the first investigation with the Investigation team will have the following knowledge :

    • Mechanical
    • Electrical
    • I&C
    • Components (valves; motors, sensors…)
    • Process
    • Risks

    This team will be composed of:

    Mechanical Actuators / components oriented persons and/or Sensors electrical oriented persons. After an issue is declared in MCR, OCE (after discussion and agreement with SSV and TOS) will contact the Commissioning investigation team in order to perform the first investigation on the field.

    When called by the OCE the Commissioning Investigation team will come in MCR for a pre job briefing with OCE, SSV and TOS in order to agree on the detail of the intervention. After that the Commissioning investigation specialist will always be in communication with MCR (SSV if the intervention is required on equipment).

    This team will act on site for the Overall Commissioning Engineer (OCE) on shift; under his test permit and in close communication with MCR for equipment maneuverability. This first investigation team will give reliable diagnostic to OCE and SSV/TOS in order to draw a repair plan and organize further corrective or preventive actions with I&C team, IMO and SREs through FN.

    Analyses together with the concerned Commissioning Branches or the Overall commissioning engineer on shift and Operation Integrated Organization of trouble shooting activity arising during overall test phase period for defining actions to be taken

    Qualification

    Performance of above described scope of work requires following expertise:

    • Engineering degree required in one of the following disciplines: Nuclear, Mechanical, Process, or Electrical
    • Nuclear experience: minimum 5 years PWR (or other NPP) experience is required (New Builds or Installed Base). Experience in PWR operation is a plus. He should be knowledgeable of PWR systems, basic nuclear and reactor physics, thermo hydraulics, and PWR chemistry. Experience on the turbine island will also be appreciated.
    • Experience in Test and Commissioning: participation to testing, commissioning, or recommissioning after major refuelling outages on a nuclear power reactor (PWR appreciated) at an operational position is required. Previous experience during cold or hot functional testing on a new build is a plus,

    Fluent English required.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Commercial Analyst (CA) is responsible for supporting the Commercial Team primarily across four main activities:

    3. Exchange synergies (e..g. swaps or tolling agreements) with other power/water players in the UAE

    MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1 - Support the development and implementation of charges:

    The Bulk Supply Tariff (BST) to COMPANY's Distribution customers including the annual tariff-setting process, within-year implementation and future enhancements to the methodology.

    Long-term supply agreements to other large power and water customers, based on an understanding of their willingness to pay, in order to maximize COMPANY's profitability and send price signals to the sector to drive appropriate behaviour.

    The CA supports the tariff-setting process, running ad-hoc impact analysis, developing pricing structures and Willingness-to-Pay models in Excel and potentially running/interpreting scenarios using Plexos (COMPANY's planning tool).

    2 - The development of 5-year forecasts for all power and water costs (excluding fuel and business costs) to support COMPANY's annual budgeting process and the annual BST setting process. Quarterly updates as required for internal reporting cycle.

    The CA is required to liaise with Finance, Planning and Forecasting, and Procurement to develop robust cost estimates for the PWPA-related costs that are key components of the 5-year business plan.

    3 - Exchange synergies (e..g. swaps or tolling agreements) and origination support for commercial arrangements with other power/water players in the UAE.

    The CA supports the assessment of commercial activities, run financial models, developing pricing models in Excel and running/interpreting scenarios using Plexos. He/she also support COMPANY's trading activities in existing/future trading platforms.

    4 Analysis support for major sector initiates such as new unlicensed customer sales, or mergers, interconnection arrangements, green certification, or any other transaction that has effect on costs, revenues or demand, based on existing benchmark models.

    - Reporting

    The CA provides monthly report to the Commercial Manager on the actual commercial performance of the team and keeps the activity results monitored and auditable.
