    Job description (operating responsibilities)

    • Management of all aspects of process equipment and lifting operations in compliance with relevant Company requirements and applicable law.
    • Verification of availability at a Fabrication Contractor of a reliable plan and resources to accomplish works on prefabrication of components, on-site fabrication, testing, preservation, shipment and handover of modules.
    • Work with field design and fabrication teams to verify and approve all Contractor's work results. Enforcement of compliance with specifications, standards and schedules.
    • Identification and highlighting of all possible risks, opportunities or threats that may positively or negatively impact quality or project tasks. Assistance in development and implementation of action plans for unexpected circumstances to the extent necessary to maintain required work rate.
    • Development and update of weekly/monthly reports on operation performance to control Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and critical data analysis.

    Roles and Responsibilities


    Key responsibilities of the job include:

Check, inspect and monitor that area is barricaded during erection and dismantling of scaffolding, that scaffolding is erected, modified and dismantled only by qualified personnel, that scaffolders are using appropriate fall protection, that scaffolding material is appropriate for their use and compliant to standards. Ensure that the scaffolding tagging system is well implemented and that scaffolding inspections are carried out periodically by qualified personnel. Obtain and review procedures, certificates and drawings related to scaffolding. Scaffolding erection over the water at night is strictly prohibited.
    • Lifting: Monitor site lifting activities. Expediting and monitoring applicable lifting plans Attend to all critical lifting. Perform lifting gears and equipment inspections, and check if they are in line with the inspection and color coding. Ensure that defected gears and equipment are moved and banned from the Project Construction area. Check that all lifting material and equipment are used within the correct weight limits. Check lifting performances related communications between associated lifting personnel and the identification of the Person in charge. Ensure that there will be NO load lifting activities over personnel and the warnings precautions and barriers. Ensure correct slinging & rigging of materials prior to be lifted.

    Qualifications/Experience required

    • Several years of experience in E/M and HVAC activities (Chilled Water Units knowledge welcomed)
    • Expertise and knowledge confirmed in the field of electrical activities (rules and standards in practice).
    • Good knowledge of PLCs and functions available for integration into our control command and control processes. At the end of the process realization of Logic -Diagrams allowing to elaborate a functional analysis.
    • Experience in the elaboration of diagrams developed for the implementation of processes for control cabinets/controls for Electro-mechanical equipment (Chillers, Fans, Pumps, Escalators, Elevators...)
    • Confirmed knowledge of the use of CAD-Electrical, E plan, Visio software tools............ ( knowledge of TIA Portal Siemens software suite is welcomed)
    • The capacity to lead a design entity for the production and planning of documents to be produced as part of our E/M & HVAC activities.
    • Easy use of software (Xcel, Word Power Point,......) to participate in the creation and editing (in English) of contractual documents (Technical Files, Functional analysis, FAT and SAT documents, Maintenance and training books)
    • Frequent on-site visits for validation of selected processes. Required availability and possible trips to our suppliers for the realization (in the presence of our customer) of FAT, reception and validation of equipment.
    • Master degree or equivalent.

    • Liaise with construction management, planning team, logistic supervisor and subcontractor to coordinate all delivery of steel structure and other mechanical component will be in charge.
    • Chase, Report and challenge any irregularity, damage, quantity or quality issue from delivery with subcontractor in charge in liaise with the CNIM logistic supervisor.
    • Chair, minute and keep record (in project server)of the Kick off meetings and Weekly progress meetings with each subcontractor and for each main discipline
    • Perform on daily basis the necessary field supervision to challenge subcontractor on his safety standards, quality organization and progress.
    • Challenge (coordinate and attends all QC witness points) contractors on all quality check , dimensional check , ITP hold point
    • Challenge and supervise dedicate scope of erection according construction norms (boiler, mechanical, piping), updated drawings, PID, specifications and insure Subcontractors are applying those on their erection.
    • Review and challenge when necessary the erection phasing (Boiler and equipment erection phasing, various sequencing ...) with subcontractor.
    • Attend daily coordination meetings and cascade necessary information and instruction.
    • Create and maintain up to date and issue for action the erection snagging list register per component in liaise with QA/QC teams (CNIM and subcontractor)
    • In liaise with Material controller, Supervise and challenge subcontractor to insure a good organization, applying suitable facilities and monitoring of the equipment preservation and protection during site storage duration according CNIM & Vendors specification and procedure. Report and challenge any deviation
    • Supervise and coordinate RFI (design Request for Information) for all design issue (clash or modification. Keep tracker system in place per discipline and component
    • Coordinate and keep Extra Work tracker system for your dedicate scope of supervision
