    Job Role & Responsibilities:
    Undertake independent mechanical engineering studies, analysis, interpret and make conclusions on studies and tasks. Work independently on newly identified engineering problems. Prepares design, engineering specifications, and field support for static equipment, piping systems, HVAC, and lifting equipment. Assist Field/Project Engineers in selection of equipment to match the process duty, definition of the plant layout, and piping layout.
    Prepares a comprehensive work-package, in consultation with other functional specialist engineers, Unit Engineers and Process Engineers. Administers within budgeted cost and arrive at a fully developed solution for the Engineering Work Requests referred to Engineering Department.
    Should comprehend the plant problems like static equipment/piping/structural vibration, equipment malfunctioning and root-cause analysis under operating conditions. Well experienced in attending to operating plant field-troubles in line with the Operations/ Maintenance requirements.
    Experience in performing piping stress analysis using CAESAR II software. Ability to use good engineering sense along with stress model to solve existing plant problems including vibrations, waterhammer, slug flow, and relief load analysis. Translates the piping model into a construction package with Civil & Structural Engineer/Designer and Drafting personnel.
    Should co-work with other personnel and get in-sync with data interpretation and resolve for an acceptable solution and perform a job closeout. Starts from conceptual, detailed design, procurement assistance, construction observation and engineering assistance for commissioning services.
    Should consolidate the developments of engineering packages from concept to close-out and generate a fully-referenced, auditable, and self-contained constructible work package.

  • ACTIVITIES

    Responsible for running the offshore construction activities to the works related to the Project field, including:

    HSE:

    • To ensure compliance with HSE (occupational and process) legislation, Company standards and procedures as they apply to project management and project engineering, to ensure employee safety and legislative compliance.
    • To ensure compliance with Company Management System and applicable International Standards.
    • To insure the good level of competency for client's Supervision Team offshore.

    Scope and development:

    • To develop tools as required to coordinate the offshore construction activities, from preparation stage up to completion offshore.

    Job Description

    The Work Package Manager will:

These activities may include preparations for and communications with internal and external resources, developing inspection support plans and checklists, daily coordination for resolution of potential inspection findings, providing management briefings on results of on-going inspections, supporting the inspection exit meeting and responding to inspections findings including reporting and correspondence to close-out FANR inspection reports.
    • Perform follow-up Licensing activities such as:

    Maintaining status of and expediting closure of commitments and license conditions,

    Provide SME technical support to reviews and actions requiring specific expertise.

    • Perform activities generally supporting Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, as requested by Customer. These activities may include but are not limited to the following:
    • Review and comment of FANR draft regulations and regulatory guidance documents developing comments, coordinating resolution of other Customer team-mates comments, coordinating input from KEPCO and consolidating comments resulting in recommendations on final consolidated comments to be transmitted to FANR.
    • Development and update of procedures and desktop guidelines that support functions of the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Department.
    • Support Customer in the interface activities associated with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). These activities will be specifically assigned by Customer as the international treaties and agreements applicable to the UAE are evolving. Customer and FANR are responsible to ensure compliance with international agreements and to respond and report to IAEA in accordance with those agreements.
    • Provide reports to Customer management meeting expectations for regular reports such as required by Chief Program Officer, Chief Nuclear Officer, Scheduling, and supporting Program Management of the prime contractor, KEPCO.
    • Provide SME consulting services for general activities associated with licensing and regulatory affairs.Assist Customer in support of the commitments and license conditions associated with existing and future licenses including but not limited to:

    Site Selection License
    Site Preparation License
    Other licenses as may be required by FANR







  • The main task consists in writing PSAR chapter with respect to requirements of Finnish nuclear regulator (STUK) and in particular with respect to nuclear safety rules while ensuring a high level of quality. The traceability of the safety and functional requirements (ADLAS tool) shall be considered. In addition, a particular attention shall be paid to the schedule.

    The regulatory framework applicable:

    • Regulations of Finland and EU
    • IAEA Nuclear Safety Series documents
    • Nuclear Safety regulations in Russian Federation (incl. GOST, SNiP, …)

    Responsibilities

    • Review of the documentation (input data folder provided by Customer) and identification of any clarifications required,
    • Production of a list of comments with a risk assessment linked to each comment with respect to its acceptance by STUK, and giving, where possible, recommendations,
    • Redaction of PSAR chapters with respect to the Finnish requirements,
    • Submission and review of PSAR chapter with PLP team to validate the quality of the document and to ensure its compliance with Customer expectations,
    • Update the documentation with respect to the above review for issuance of PSAR "Finnish version", which to be submitted to Fennovoima,
    • Provides day-to-day coordination,
    • Supports regulatory gap analyses and regulatory framework development and implementation,
    • Participate in coordination meetings,
    • Closely follow up on agreed actions plan,
    • Bring best practice from a range of nuclear licenses.
