    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    Education:

    • High School Diploma / Technical certificate in Discipline minimum 10 years Oil & Gas, Petrochemical/ refining industry experience or
    • Bachelors of Science in any Engineering field or equivalent and 5-10 years Oil & Gas, Petrochemical/ refining industry

    Industry Experience:

    ACTIVITIES

    • Coach and support STS's for ensuring compliance with COMPANY HSE standards along with contractor's crew
    • Execute daily activities as directed by the Discipline Supervisor
    • Contributing to the development and review of all risk assessments to ensure that hazards have been identified, adequate mitigations are in place and risk has been reduced to ALARP
    • Assist the Discipline Supervisor in critical situations
    • Supervise routine activities to ensure they are undertaken safely and in accordance with COMPANY company procedures / guidelines
    • Provide input into planning meetings as instructed by the Discipline Supervisor
    • Participate on the Control of Work program and assist for PTW preparation as instructed by STS

    Key Job Accountabilities

    • Provide management and technical direction for all facets of the division (scheduling, planning, reporting, change order cost estimating and cost engineering) by establishing a set of project control procedures, guidelines and flow charts to suit project requirements and needs to support management decision making process.
    • Lead project control activities, coordinating input from PMT functions such as engineering, construction, etc.

    Qualifications

    • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
    • Preferably a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma
    • 08-10 years broad experience in execution of major projects, in a PTW role, including at least 6 years in the execution of offshore pipelines and offshore construction.
    • Minimum five years' experience working in the Middle East, with prior experience executing projects within the State of Qatar strongly preferred.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the development a 'Proactive Safety Culture' during pipeline construction and offshore installation activity in which safety leadership and values drive continuous improvement and creates an environment of trust, transparency and genuine care for people
    • Assist and support the Head of HSSE - Offshore to Implement the Project Safety Plan and ensure the effective implementation of the COMPANY and Contractors' Project Safety Management System and Procedures during offshore activities including:

HSES Risk Management Program to ensure that project-specific risks are identified, assessed, mitigated via reduced consequence and likelihood, and communicated, enabling project to be executed safely and efficiently and meeting project objectives.
