    We are looking for a Civil Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:

    Location: Saudi Arabia

    Contract Duration: 2 years

    Qualification and Experience Required:

    • The engineer shall be a civil engineer with minimum 10 years' experience in 400 kV substation or OHL turnkey installations for similar project in nature and complexity.
    • He must have proven record on working on similar projects, both on design and on construction phases.
    • He must be able to demonstrate a strong attention to field safety.
    • Working language will be English (spoken and written). Speaking Arabic would be appreciated (but not mandatory).

    Major Accountabilities and Tasks:

    • Supervise the construction and shall make efforts to ensure the expeditious and economical construction thereof in accordance with the terms of the EPC contracts.
    • Monitor the EPC contractor in order to ensure quality, safety, schedule and compliance to approved design. He will lead site inspections.
    • Detect and anticipate issues/problems at site and suggest solutions in liaise with project management and EPC teams.
    • Review and assess contractor's daily report.
    • Ensure that the requirements of the construction contract are fully met by the contractor.

    Main Missions

    • Contribute to ensuring the compliance of the CPF-2 EPSCC contract Telecom detailed engineering activities with approved SOR and Company standards

    Job Description:

    • In the position of E&S coordinator, the collaborator will oversee and continuously improve the
    • environmental and social compliance of onshore wind and solar renewable projects (development and construction phase) with respect to company and international requirements (IFC, EBRD, EIB, Equator Principles IV) if financed by the lenders.

    Transversal coordination:

    • Report to Project's E&S coordinator leads (weekly highlights, ad-hoc meetings),
    • Participate to Headquarter HSE and E&S coordination meetings where required,
    • Participate to Project's HSE meetings and follow-up on E&S highlights,
    • Contribute to E&S coordination tools (studies register etc.),

    Ensure onshore renewable projects compliance with applicable E&S standards, including:

    • Acknowledge and understand Company's E&S standards, ambitions and commitments,
    • Ensure Projects are compliant with applicable regulation and standards all along its lifetime (local regulation, lenders' requirements - IFC, Company standards and commitments towards E&S),
    • Participate in E&S risks evaluation (Screenings) for audits or technical review for internal approval processes (internal committees),
    • Conduct ESDD (Due Diligence) on existing E&S documents made available by Developers or business partners to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

    Coordinate the development of E&S studies for the projects, including:

    • Prepare the scope of work for E&S studies, with associated budget and planning,
    • Support E&S studies RFP process (Request For Proposal), together with contract and procurement team (e.g. defining technical scope of work, performing proposals technical evaluation),
    • Coordinate the work of E&S contractors for the preparation of E&S studies,
    • Ensure E&S studies quality control and validate deliverables, ensure outcomes of the studies are appropriate to the needs and constraints of the project,
    • Request timely support from the E&S experts of the Company headquarter for the revision and validation of scope of work and studies deliverables,
    • Ensure compliance of all E&S studies with applicable regulation and standards (local regulation, Company rules and E&S ambitions, and any other applicable standards required by lenders or partners).

    Ensure implementation of E&S requirements during construction:

    • Prepare E&S requirements (HSE Annex) for EPC RFP, ensuring ESIA outcomes are well taken into account in the EPC contract,
    • Review and approve EPC ESMPs (E&S management plans),
    • Monitor and control good implementation of EPC ESMPs,
    • Participate to HSE meetings with Contractors where necessary,
    • Conduct E&S site inspections where necessary,
    • Provide support to the project's E&S Management System preparation (including Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Grievance mechanism, Biodiversity Management Plan etc.),
    • Support implementation of E&S reporting system in projects and control reports.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in OHL supervision and inspection.
    • Mandatory knowledge of transmission substation systems up to 400kV.
    • Familiarity with installation and testing procedures and standards.
    • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and protocols.
    • Effective communication and reporting skills.

    Activities:

    • Experienced OHL electrical engineer to join our team for supervision works in high-voltage transmission substations up to 400kV. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with various substation components and testing protocols.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and engineer overhead line systems (routing, conductors, clearances)
    • Perform technical calculations (sag-tension, line performance, safety standards)
    • Conduct site surveys and inspections
    • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders
