    Service Purpose:

    • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Specialist to join our dynamic team for the LNG Bunkering Project
    • In this key role, in close collaboration with the LNG team in Sohar, you will be a strategic member of the Muscat Back Office in charge of preparing and overseeing the safety, the compliance and the efficiency of all marine operations.
    • Your area of responsibilities will apply to LNG carriers loading, LNG bunkering operations, and, in a larger extent, all Marine related matters of LNG Bunkering Project.
    • Your skills and experience will also identify you as a potential temporary replacement of the Marine Superintendent in Sohar.

    Qualification and Experience Required:

    • The HSE site engineer shall be a safety engineer with minimum 10 years' experience in 400 kV OHL or substations turnkey installations for similar project in nature and complexity.
    • Must have proven record on working on similar projects, both on design and on construction phases.
    • Must be able to demonstrate a strong attention to field safety and possess a strong knowledge of HSE management systems and HSE standards. Solid interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, ability to motivate diverse teams will be sought for.

    Major Accountabilities and Tasks:

    • Be accountable and oversee site safety, health, and environmental aspects regularly to ensure a safe, environmentally friendly site environment with zero man-hour loss.
    • Supervise the construction on HSE plan and aim for full compliance in accordance with the terms of the EPC Contracts. Monitor the EPC Contractors in order to ensure quality, health, safety, environment compliance to approved documentation.

    Technical Requirements

    Welding Engineering

    • Development, review, and approval of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
    • Deep understanding of welding processes used in subsea fabrication, including: GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG/MAG), FCAW, SAW.
    • Knowledge of weld metallurgy, including: Heat-affected zones (HAZ), dilution effects, solidification cracking, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT).
    • Experience with clad and CRA (Corrosion Resistant Alloy) welding, including overlay and dissimilar metal welds.
    • Familiarity with automated and orbital welding techniques for subsea applications.

    Materials Engineering

    • Expertise in material selection for subsea environments, including: Carbon steels, stainless steels, duplex/super duplex, Inconel and other nickel-based alloys.

    Missions / Service Dimensions

    • This service will be based in UK, Bristol with periodical mission to Singapore & Batam to cover the SPS Contract execution. Under the responsibility of the SPS Technical Lead, the service holder will be acting as a specialist and supporting the SPS Technical Lead on all technical matters related to welding and metallurgy
