  • We are looking for a RP Lead Structure Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:

    Start date: 01-OCT-2024

    End Date: 30-JUN-2026

    Location: Doha / India / Oman

    Work status: Resident, Single


    ACTIVITIES

    Ensure Engineering Dossier delivered with a robust structural engineering definition and fit for purpose design that can be procured, fabricated, transported, installed, and operated safely, meeting the requirements of COMPANY standard, project basis of design, and SOR.

    • Ensure, control and coordinate the proper realization of the Structural design in compliance with project specifications and procedures, time schedule, required level of quality and safety
    • Plan, prepare and lead the structure discipline kick-off meeting with EPC Contractor in close coordination with Package Engineering Manager and Engineering Coordinators.
    • Identify and manage structural engineering technical decisions to be made. Define and manage clear way forward for these decisions to be made and agreed within Engineering phase time schedule.
    • Monitor closely the discipline progress, define all actions and manage them to secure the design completion.
    • Work closely with Package Engineering Coordinators to coordinate and manage structure engineering interfaces with other disciplines and other COMPANY parties.
    • Detail and monitor the structural interface parameters between jacket and topsides, and other components.
    • Assist Package Engineering Manager in preparation of Package Engineering Execution Plan to develop agreed based lines for structure discipline.
    • Work with weight control engineer and engineering team to ensure close weight monitoring and control of weight.

    Thorough, efficient, and timely review of project structure discipline documents, realization of potential derogations to the standards, and challenge the design to achieve an optimize and fit for purpose outcome

    • Ensure project documents related to the structure discipline are reviewed and commented in a timely manner and in accordance with COMPANY standards, project specification and contractual requirements.
    • Identify any optimization / improvement in the design dossier to be implemented in the early stage of detailed design, promote, and encourage submissions of value engineering proposals.
    • Promote fit for purpose design to reduce and to optimize planning and costs,
    • Ensure as far as possible standardization of design proposals for wellhead platforms
    • Ensure a regular and accurate weight and center of gravity (CoG) monitoring and reporting to Package Engineering Manager in order to guaranty protection of Company contingencies and to keep weight increase within the approved limits.
    • Coordinate and issue project response to contractors and vendors requests on engineering design clarifications and TQR.
    • Liaise with discipline engineer to identify/review the protentional deviations/derogations to the COMPANY to ensure deviation package is mature for CMS submission and approval.
    • Consult E&C department to process derogation requests and interface with relevant TRP to secure needed approvals
    • Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability and operational matters,
    • Ensure that relevant feedback/lesson learned from previous similar projects are considered in the design performance.

    Assisting to project studies and meetings related to the structure discipline as per project approved gate levels and design maturity

    • Define, follow up and evaluate the structural discipline studies to be carried out by Contractors, ensure the studies completed as per approved project gate and maturity.
    • Assist in preparation and attend to project studies including model review, HAZID, constructability review, PRs and other studies as directed by Package Engineering Manager
    • Provide technical answers and clarifications to internal project audit sessions (PR, HAZID, etc.…).
    • Monitor and report the maturity index of structure discipline for the next to come technical reviews (engineering gates), to ensure they are performed with an engineering dossier at the required maturity
    • Participate in weekly and monthly engineering meetings with Contractors, and in specific ad hoc meetings as required by management.
    • Assist in preparation of engineering progress reports detailing structure discipline progress across schedule. risks and technical issues to ensure accurate and timely information available to Package Engineering Manager

    Identifying potential risks and scope changes within the structural discipline, conducting impact assessment to provide detailed information to Package Engineering Manager for decision making.

    • Identify, review and check the engineering scope change related to structure discipline, carry out required technical assessment in order to provide accurate information to management for decision making
    • Ensure the design follows the approved SOR, basis of design and project standards, captured and manage any changes as per project change management plan.
    • Monitor the progress of structure discipline, detect any risks to the discipline scope and progress and provide action plans to mitigate the risks.
    • Assist Package Engineer Manager is assessment of project change orders
    • Assist Package Engineer Manager is project risk management activities

    High performance, competency, and availability of the resources within the structure team in close coordination with Package Engineering Manager

    • Manage structure Engineering activities and ensure high performance within the team.
    • Provide the technical support to MP structure engineers and takes part as a lead to arbitration to be made.
    • Control and manage the working load of the structure team, update package engineering manager on performance, competency and requirement of resources.
    • Treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Qualification: Engineering degree in structural engineering,
    • Experience: minimum 15 years' experience as structural engineer in structural field in Oil and Gas activities.
    • At least 5 years of experiences as Lead Structure Engineer supervising a team
    • Extensive experience in structural engineering with relevant experience within the offshore oil and gas production industry,
    • Computer literate, especially in structural calculation software.
    • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills.
    • Good analytical skills.
    • Familiar with Total general specifications is a plus, and with relevant codes and standards,

    • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.

    Educational Background:

    Mission:

    • It will be placed under the functional authority of the Project Director.
    • He will work in collaboration with the HSE business manager of the Atlantic coast.
    • It will also be attached to the "Health, Safety and Environment" Division of the Offshore Interconnections and Networks Engineering Department (DIIReM), which defines the HSE reference framework and methods for all connection and interconnection projects.

    The HSE project manager:

    Qualifications & Experience Required

    • Qualification: Engineering degree in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Materials/Equivalent and Post Graduate in Welding Engineering

    • Provide inputs to the Contractor,Sub-Contractor,Vendor and Sub-Vendor ITP as required
    • Ensure all the Welding in the project are carried out by Qualified Welder/Welding Operators
    • Ensure the key metrics set for Welding are monitored and complied
    • Attend Pre-Inspection Meetings if required
    • Ensure Welding performance metrics are maintained effectively by Contractor
    • Provide inputs if any concerns noted in the Inspection/Quality Surveillance reports generated by the Company Surveillance/Inspection personnel

    ACTIVITIES

    HSEQ responsibilities :

    • Ensure that HSE is given the highest priority
    • Support and enforce the Project HSEQ management system (charters, objectives, directives, plans, procedures, specifications, …)
    • Actively embed and enforce COMPANY HSEQ philosophies at all levels of project execution (Project team and Contractors) through pro-active attitude (site tour management, HSEQ meetings, incentives actions,…)
    • Monitor work activities, especially potential areas where unsafe acts could occur, and ensure that risks have been properly identified and assessed prior to work execution (Job Safety Analysis).

    During Project phase (EPCIC/Site Commissioning):

    • Familiar with Production, Process and Flow Assurance Engineering.

  • We are looking for Senior Water Treatment Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:

    Location: Nanterre, Paris, France

    Start Date: 07/10/2024

    Contract Duration: 9 months

    Qualification and Experience Required:

    • Field of experience in Industries, specialized in Water Treatment - Minimum required experience in this domain is 8 - 10 years.
    • Field of experience in water treatment technologies such as Electrochlorination, cooling water, potable and service water, effluent collection, etc…
    • Knowledge of softwares: LPLWin, WAVE, OLI or equivalent
    • Experience in process engineering design is mandatory
    • Experience of process engineers team management is welcome

    Main responsibilities:

    The subcontractor will be working with 1 to 2 junior Water Treatment engineers, and will perform the following tasks, under the supervision of the Water Treatment Units Process Lead:

    • Review of PFD, PID and other process deliverables developed by Junior Engineer
    • Review of datasheets of equipment developed by Junior Engineer
    • Participation to Reviews (PFD/PID, HazOp, 3D Model, etc)
    • Review of Vendors technical proposals
    • Interface with Client

    For the following units:

    • Electrochlorination Unit
    • Potable and service water unit
    • Desalinated water storage and pumping
    • Site drainage: collection and transfer of run-off waters
